Al-Merreikh Attacker, Kelechi Osunwa is Confident the Red Devils can Overturn Their 3-0 Defeat to Rivers United in Sudan

Al-Merreikh attacker, Kelechi Osunwa has warned that the Caf Champions League tie between Rivers United and Al-Merrikh has not been decided yet. Last season’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) runners up, United outclassed their Sudanese opponents 3-0 in the first leg of the first round clash in Port Harcourt on Sunday handing them a big advantage going into the return leg in Omdurman.

Osunwa who played for 45 minutes in Port Harcourt however believes that the Red Devils can overturn Sunday’s result in Omdurman.

“The biggest problem we had (in Port Harcourt) was fatigue.

“All our players were very tired as we had played many matches in a short time but the second leg will be different.

“We will have our fans behind us and everything will be different then.

“I am sure we will qualify,” he told supersport.com.

Saturday’s game between Al-Merrikh and Rivers United will be decided at the imposing Al-Merrikh Stadium in Omdurman.
