Chelsea Star Eden Hazard Sidelined at Least for Ten Days

Eden Hazard is expected to be out for up to 15 days, meaning he may only recover full fitness on the eve of Chelsea’s clash against Manchester City. Although Hazard missed Saturday’s win over Stoke with a calf problem, he was still included in Belgium’s squad for this week.

But Belgium boss Roberto Martinez announced yesterday Hazard would play no part in the World Cup qualifier with Greece, nor the friendly with Russia. Martinez said Hazard would be sidelined for between 10-15 days, meaning he is in danger of missing the Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on April 1.

Any setback in his recovery could also force him to sit out the match against Pep Guardiola’s side at Stamford Bridge on April 5.

Against Stoke, Willian, Diego Costa and Pedro filled the front‑three roles and coach Antonio Conte would probably stick with that attack in Hazard’s absence.

The Belgian has rediscovered his form this season, scoring 11 goals.

Tottenham Close to Completing £23m Serge Aurier Transfer

Tottenham are closing in on a £23million move for Paris Saint-Germain defender Serge Aurier. The Ivory Coast international has been free to leave the French giants following the arrival of Dani Alves to the club. Aurier, 24, has been heavily linked with Manchester United and Chelsea but Spurs have shown the firmest interest in the right-back.
