Success Is not about Trophy Alone - Arsenal Is a Better Club than Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool, Claims Arsene Wenger

Arsenal is the best club in the world – football is not just about winning trophies, says Arsene Wenger. Many Arsenal fans are calling for the 67-year-old to quit after the club once again fell out of the title race while also crashing out of Europe.

The Frenchman is still believed to be considering his future, although some reports suggest Wenger has decided to remain at the club for at least another season. Wenger has not won the Premier League title since 2004 but the veteran has leaped to the defence of his record, stressing that he has helped build ‘the best club in the world’.

‘For me Arsenal is the best club in the world and what we have built is absolutely remarkable, not only on the results front but on the values that this club, what we have built,’ Wenger told beIN Sports.

‘Of course a football club is about winning, it’s as well about values.

‘Nobody talks about that anymore but sport is as well about values and I think integrity, respect, humility, togetherness are very important qualities and if you would visit our club you would see that they really exist on a daily basis.

‘That is part of what I am proud as well.’

Wenger added: ‘You can basically say that if you don’t win the championship it is not a successful season and I can understand that but you take clubs like Liverpool and they have not won the Premier League, they are a big club.

‘You have clubs like Man City, Man United, certainly the championship will be won by Chelsea so we have all, and no matter how many we are, Tottenham, all these clubs, every year only one will win it.’

The Swedish striker - who has been regularly updating his Instagram followers of his rehabilitation from a knee injury - has this week begun doing some very light ball work with the club's coaching staff at Carrington. Ibrahimovic signed a new one-year deal at United on August 24 after the first serious injury of his career cut short a stellar first season at Old Trafford earlier this year. The player's doctor Freddie Fu has warned against rushing his return and United boss Jose Mourinho had previously suggested he will not play for the club in January but has reassessed that prediction. "(Paul) Pogba is not here I don't know when he will be back," he said. "Zlatan is working under our control here as I would expect. He is working so, so hard but he won't be back in the next week or the next couple of weeks. "He nee...
