N’Golo Kante Pays Tribute to Chelsea Fans and Team-mates after Winning PFA Player of the Year Award

N’Golo Kante was quick to pay tribute to Chelsea fans and his team-mates at Stamford Bridge after winning the PFA Player of the Year award. The Frenchman, who was shortlisted for the prize last season, beat Eden Hazard, Harry Kane, Alexis Sanchez, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Romelu Lukaku to take home the gong at an event in London. Kante has been a revelation since arriving in the Premier League and looks set to become the first player to win back-to-back titles with different sides.

‘I’m really proud for such an honour! It’s so amazing,’ Kante said on Instagram.

‘But as I always said, it’s a team work and today with this trophy, I just want to thank my team-mates, all at Chelsea Football Club and all the fans.’

Only missing one game this campaign, Kante has helped take Chelsea four points clear at the top of the league and into the FA Cup final.

Meanwhile, England international Dele Alli was named the PFA Young Player of the Year for the second season running after another impressive campaign at Tottenham.
