Nike Has Made Boots for Cristiano Ronaldo that only Him Can Wear

Cristiano Ronaldo has a new pair of football boots but because they were ‘created specifically for the world’s best player’, you can’t have them. Nike have created the CR7 Mercurial Campeoes to mark what has been a tremendous year for Ronaldo even by his own very high standards.

Over the last 12 months the Portugal star won his first international title by triumphing at Euro 2016 and was part of a Real Madrid side that became the first team to retain the European Cup in the Champions League era. Plus he won La Liga, secured another Ballon d’Or and scored a crazy amount of goals.

The new boots are red with a dash of green, in recognition of the success with Portugal. The rest is all gold because that is the colour of a champion. Ronaldo will don the blingy special edition footwear at this summer’s Confederations Cup in Russia.

Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele is set to be on the sidelines for around "three to four weeks" after suffering a fresh hamstring injury during the Catalan's 4-2 victory over Real Sociedad on Sunday. The 20-year-old winger moved to the Nou Camp from Borussia Dortmund during the summer transfer window in deal worth £93.4m plus €40m in add-ons. Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan has signed a new four-year contract with the Serie A club. The 29-year-old Belgium international had been linked with Manchester United in Italian media, while Chelsea were also reported to be interested. This was coupled by suggestions that Nainggolan was growing impatient with the numerous delays in receiving a contract proposal from the capital club.
