Kylian Mbappe Breaks Silence Amids Transfer Talks with Wenger

Kylian Mbappe admits he is unsure if he will stay at Monaco after being approached by several of Europe’s top clubs including Arsenal, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid. Earlier this week, reports in France claimed that Arsene Wenger had a three-hour long meeting with the 18-year-old on June 14, the day after France’s friendly with England in Paris.

Wenger has been a long-term admirer of Mbappe and visited the striker at his home last year in an attempt to convince him to join Arsenal.

Arsenal have already had a €100 million (£88m) offer for the France international rejected this summer and it’s understood that Wenger has instead prioritised a move for his Monaco team-mate Thomas Lemar.

Mbappe is currently with Monaco for their pre-season training camp in the Swiss Alps, and when asked about his future by Marca, the striker replied: ‘I don’t know if I will stay.’

PSG are also ready to spend big in order to land Mbappe and have also held talks with the striker to sway him towards a move to the French capital.

PSG’s sporting director Antero Henrique and president Nasser al-Khelaifi have informed Mbappe that he would be guaranteed playing time, while their contract offer of 12 million (£10.5m) a year is double what Real Madrid are willing to offer.
