Tiemoue Bakayoko’s Brother Hints at Midfielder’s Chelsea Move

Chelsea appear to have won the race for Tiemoue Bakayoko after the Monaco midfielder’s brother seemingly confirmed the move on social media. On Thursday evening, RMC Sport claimed that the Premier League champions had agreed a £40 million deal with Monaco for the France international. Bakayoko will now travel to London to undergo a medical on Friday before committing to a five-year contract.

Manchester United had threatened to hijack Chelsea’s move for the 22-year-old and had reportedly informed Monaco that they were willing to outbid their Premier League rivals.

But Chelsea look on course to land the midfielder, and on Thursday evening, the player’s brother provided fans with an interesting update on Snapchat.

Bakayoko is set to become Antonio Conte’s second major summer signing after Chelsea completed a £34m deal for Antonio Rudiger on Sunday.

Conte also remains in the market for a new striker and is expected to make a move for Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata.
