Carabao Cup Third Round Draw - Chelsea to Face Nottingham Forest and Manchester United will Meet Burton Albion

Defending champions Manchester United will start the defence of the Carabao Cup against Burton Albion following Thursday’s third round draw. Jose Mourinho won his first major trophy as United boss earlier this year when Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s late header secured a dramatic 3-2 win over Southampton at Wembley.

The pick of the round is Liverpool’s trip to Leicester City with the Reds aiming to improve on a semi-final appearance from last season.

The current Premier League leaders will have to get past the Championship side in order to progress, while Arsenal have been paired against Doncasteer.

Chelsea, who have an excellent recent pedigree in this competiton, are due to meet Nottingham Forest, while Tottenham, who will play their home matches this season at the venue for the final, are slated to take on the winner of Barnsley vs Derby.

Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele is set to be on the sidelines for around "three to four weeks" after suffering a fresh hamstring injury during the Catalan's 4-2 victory over Real Sociedad on Sunday.
