Mesut Ozil’s effort levels during training sessions are becoming a concerning factor at Arsenal, according to reports. The German playmaker has yet again become the focus of criticism after Arsenal’s 2-1 defeat to Watford at the weekend.
The club’s second most expensive player in history was only deemed good enough for the bench and when he did come on he missed a one-on-one chance to score and played a significant role in Arsenal conceding a late goal that lost them the match at Vicarage Road. The World Cup winner’s effort levels have always been a concern during his time at Arsenal, but with his contract running down a fear is growing that he is simply seeing out the deal. It is not only in matches but at Arsenal’s London Colney training ground that Ozil appears to be failing to apply himself.
The Daily Mail report that sources at Arsenal claim his effort in training has dropped alarmingly and it hasn’t gone unnoticed by his team-mates. They report that staff are growing increasingly worried at his lack of effort this season
