Neymar Could Move to Real Madrid as Father Refuses to Rule Out Future Transfer

Neymar’s father has not ruled out the possibility of his son moving to Real Madrid in the future, though insists he is committed to Paris Saint-Germain. The Brazilian became the world’s most expensive player when PSG paid up his £198 million Barcelona release clause, though his short time in the French capital has been littered with drama. The 25-year-old had a bust up with striker Edinson Cavani over who should take penalties and it was claimed he withdrew himself from selection for a Ligue 1 match.

There have also been rumours that he is unhappy in Paris and asked his ex Barca teammates if they would have him back, while a move to Clasico rivals Real has been mentioned. And now Neymar’s dad, who never wanted him to join PSG in the first place, has added more fuel to the speculation that he could be the long-term heir to Cristiano Ronaldo.

‘Neymar has a lengthy contract at PSG and has just arrived. ‘We’ve been here for three months and there is already talk of an exit. It is difficult to talk about these things.’

Neymar has often been linked with a return to his homeland in the latter years of his career, though his dad cannot see that happening anytime soon. He continued: ‘I don’t believe Neymar will leave Europe within eight years. ‘Our job is to keep him in the place we have dreamt of, and our dream was to come to Europe. For this reason, I don’t see Neymar returning.’

Real Madrid Left Back Marcelo Ruled Out for One Month while Toni Kroos will Miss Real Madrid's trip to Alaves

Real Madrid star Toni Kroos is set join Marcelo in the treatment room when Los Blancos visit Alaves on Saturday (23 September) after suffering a rib injury. The news is a fresh concern for Zinedine Zidane as Karim Benzema, Theo Hernandez, Jesus Vallejo and Mateo Kovacic are also ruled out for the visit to Mendizorroza due to various injuries. Kroos, 27, missed the last weekend's 3-1 victory over Real Sociedad due to a fitness problem. The Germany international returned to Zidane's starting line-up for Wednesday's 1-0 defeat to Real Betis and was able to complete the full 90 minutes. However, it looks like Kroos suffered a recurrence of the problem in that game after Real Madrid revealed on Friday morning that the midfielder skipped the final training session before Los Blancos' trip to Vitoria. Zidane himself later confirmed the blow in a press conference, adding that he expects the midfielder to recover in time for the crucial Champions League trip t
